Cliff Dwellings at Rogers Canyon

I spent the past three days in the Superstition Wilderness, hiking into Rogers Canyon to cliff dwellings built high upon the wall by the Salado people in the 1300s. The hike was grueling but the weather was perfect and the dwellings were awesome to see!

Progress on the latest Painting

Last night I finished the cliffs on my latest painting, which is based on a photograph taken by my friend Bruce, down at Picacho Peak. All that’s left now is to add the cactus and lizards and other fun little accoutrements, and this will be ready to hang!
