The latest public sculpture being erected in Phoenix, just a few blocks from my office. It will be 100 feet high and 100 feet wide and cost $2.4 million dollars. This giant floating net was imagined by artist Janet Echelman.

Light Rail Is Here

Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the US, yet until now, it had no train system. At the end of December, light rail service finally began! Sparkling new trains and 24 miles of track running through Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa are now in service. Sweet.

Bacon Love

For the Super Bowl party… jalapenos with cayenne cream cheese, stuffed with a Lil’ Smokie sausage and wrapped in thick bacon. I put them in the smoker with hickory chips for two hours and then finish them on the grill. (Forgot to shoot the after pics… but they were GOOOOOD!)
